Just a quick post today in between errands. I ran over to Michaels this morning to drop off some paperwork - so I can get paid (rather important!) and then ran into DSW - LOVE that place! I got a pair of brown comfy shoes to go with my brown maternity dress. Of course they will go with a lot more than just that dress, but that is their initial purpose. And here they are!

The heel is just high enough that I feel comfortable and they're still dressy, but low enough so I won't be tripping over myself and losing balance with my big belly out in front of me. Unfortunately they are a half size larger than my usual size.... but what can you do? At least they're cute and comfortable (this coming from someone who very rarely counted "comfort" as a necessity where shoes are concerned!). Oh and I'd like to state for the record that these are the first shoes I have bought in over a year. Those who know me well know that this is a HUGE accomplishment!
So between my morning errands and my doctor appointment in half an hour I figured I'd run home, change my shirt (because I thought it was a bit cooler out than it is and 8.5 months pregnant and long sleeves on a 70 degree day is not a good combination for me), and update my blog really quick. So, here are a few more pictures of yesterday's progress on the baby's room. I was able to get in the initial green areas, before filling in with the rollers again. I do need to get the step stool in there so I can finish around the door, closet and window before I hit it with the rollers. Right now everything stops at the height I could reach on my own.

My plan is to finish all the green on Monday. I called for delivery of the crib and dresser and am waiting to hear back from the delivery company. I'm thinking it may all actually end up coordinating well!
I'm really liking the color combination. It's nice and fresh and bright, but not overwhelming. I think E said last night that it was nice and oceany, or something to that effect. I will have to figure out something to cover the window, other than simple cheap mini blinds - though that might be our first step just so there's something up. If I can find some cute fabric in the next few weeks maybe I can whip something up quickly, but I'm not going to stress over it.
Alright, time to head out and get to the doctor! When I get home I'll have to do some housework - does anyone else have dishes that seem to breed if they aren't put in the dishwasher right away? Then I have to pack for the weekend - we're off to Edison tonight and then spending the day in NYC tomorrow as our last trip to the city sans baby. We'll be back sometime Sunday.
